Essential Care Guidelines
General Protection
- •Handle with clean, dry hands or cotton gloves

- •Store in a stable environment when not displayed
Moisture & Humidity
- •Avoid areas with high humidity like bathrooms or basements
- •Keep away from sources of moisture such as humidifiers or plants
- •If condensation appears, gently dry with a soft, lint-free cloth
- •Maintain consistent humidity levels between 45-55% if possible
Light & UV Protection
- •Avoid direct sunlight which can cause fading or material degradation
- •Use UV-filtering glass if displaying in bright areas
- •Rotate pieces occasionally if one side receives more light
- •Consider museum-quality lighting for optimal preservation
Temperature Control
- •Maintain stable temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C)
- •Avoid areas near heating vents, fireplaces, or air conditioning units
- •Prevent rapid temperature changes which can cause material stress
- •Allow pieces to acclimate gradually if moved between environments
Material-Specific Care Instructions
Glass Artworks
Clean with distilled water and a microfiber cloth. Avoid ammonia-based cleaners. Support the base when moving, never lift by protruding elements.
Ceramic Pieces
Dust regularly with a soft brush. For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and distilled water. Allow to air dry completely before handling.
Metal Sculptures
Dust with a soft cloth. For bronze pieces, apply museum wax annually. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage patina.
Painted Works
Never touch the painted surface. Dust frame only. If cleaning is needed, consult a professional art conservator.
